Counselling is a partnership between counsellor and client, which explores the client’s experience: the client decides which issues she/he wants to look at and prioritise.
I believe that we all have the potential to learn and/or heal from difficult experiences or life crises and that the therapeutic relationship with a counsellor or psychotherapist (who you trust and you can work with) can provide a safe and supportive situation that helps you do that.
I use BSL (British Sign Language) and I am able to work one-to-one with people who are deaf or hearing impaired without the need for an interpreter.
I also have experience of working with people who have learning difficulties experience and who often find communication challenging, through understanding individual needs we will work together to help to bring about change.
I am a member of the Counselling Society and adhere to their code of ethics. I have full professional indemnity insurance and have regular supervision from a qualified psychotherapist.
