Susan Holden

Background

My background is really in life experiences and the suffering experienced through loss and grief of my own. I have a passion to help others to help themselves to heal by giving them their own set of tools. My initial vocation was in teaching and now it still is in a way. I ran my own business for fourteen years before being drawn into grief work and Funeral Celebrancy. I now practice both and am used to dealing with people who have experienced loss not just through bereavement or watching someone else go through death and dying, but also the 40 plus other instances of loss which result in feelings of grief. I also run the Swindon Death Café where people meet in a café culture to talk about anything to do with death and dying, the aim is for all of us to become more comfortable to facing that ‘elephant in the room!’

Additionally, I am a trained facilitator in the Mondo Zen Awareness Programme and meditation teacher and co-founder of Integral Mondo Zen UK.
