I am qualified as an Integrative Person Centred Counsellor, and it is a non-judgemental and non-directive approach. Counselling provides an opportunity for you to look at issues in your life which are causing you concern, and to explore ways in which brings a positive change. As a client, you are responsible for your choices and decisions you make, although as your counsellor, I will support and encourage you as you make choices and decisions which you feel are in your best interest.
As a BACP registered Counsellor, I am bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice, and my priority is to provide well-being and good practice as a counsellor and to keep the client’s best interest.
Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling which I obtained from CPCAB.
Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling from CPCAB.
I have completed Foundation Degree in Humanistic Counselling held by Bath Spa University.
I am a BACP (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy) Registered Counsellor.
I hold a degree in Psychology and I am a graduate member of BPS (British Psychological Society)
When I completed a Psychology Degree (2001), I have in various position, where I supported parents and children in my role as Psychologist. Principal duties have included: working with children/ teenagers with Learning Difficulties and Mental Health, as like: ADHD; Autism; Asperger Syndrome; Disruptive Behaviour; Emotional and behavioural issues; Anxiety; OCD, Trauma; Self-harm;
I have experience in counsel adults in a clinical setting who are feeling distressed, where mental health issues arise when a difficult circumstance of their lives happens.
I also work as a counsellor with adolescents with mental health and emotional issues and has always been an inspiration, where I believe, counselling can provide support to the young people in need and help them to overcome any apprehensions that may occur.
I have experience in working with clients who recovering from alcohol and substances addictions, since 2015.
My standard fee is £40 per 50 minutes on a weekly basis.
There are five rooms, all suitable for couples or individual Counselling. One of these is large enough to use for family therapy, groups or training workshops. The therapy rooms are furnished with large leather chairs with cushions, solid oak side tables, classic floor and table lamps, plants and framed photos or pictures of landscapes.
