Background

As an Integrative Person Centred Counsellor, I believe we all have an inborn ability and desire to grow towards fulfilling our true potential and that only we are the experts on our lives.

The way I work reflects my own personal values, appreciating the importance of building trusting, genuine relationships through respectful understanding, enabling us to become more self aware, leading to greater confidence and empowerment.

Each counselling relationship is unique and I respect that individuals have their own way of expressing their thoughts and feelings, therefore, working together to integrate ways to suit individual needs is important. As a counsellor, I have a varied experience of working with adults, young people and children.

Qualifications

I hold a Foundation Degree in Therapeutic Counselling awarded by Bath Spa University plus a Certificate in Working with Children and Young People gained through Weston College. I also hold a Certificate in Counselling for Depression achieved at the Metanoia Institute, London.

I am an Accredited Counsellor and a Registered Member of the BACP ( British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) working within their Ethical Framework for Good Practice. I hold a current DBS Certificate (Disclosure & Barring Service).
